Steve Emmons has corporate experience in environmental risk management and transactions, along with .hands on experience developing and implementing risk transfer strategies that utilize insurance as an integral component.

Steve provides a global perspective on managing environmental liability, which he gained over more than 20 years directing environmental affairs for GNB Technologies, a multinational battery manufacturer and lead smelting company. He organized and led teams that developed and implemented environmental, health, safety and insurance programs that assured regulatory compliance and business flexibility worldwide.

Steve has managed the challenge of historical environmental liability, including more than 50 Superfund sites and over 100 remediation projects at closed and operational facilities. He has negotiated successfully on the local, state, national and international level interacting with regulators, media and other stakeholders, including GNB's customers: Ford, Mercedes Benz, Wal-Mart, Ericcson and the US Military. He has successfully managed risks related to a wide range of manufacturing operations and an environmental remediation contracting operation, as well as the risks related to a large industrial real estate portfolio that included manufacturing, distribution and salesoperations around the world.

Steve offers clients the practical skills gained managing environmental due diligence in day-to-day operations, plus mergers and acquisitions. He is committed to helping clients expand business opportunities by integrating insurance products with existing business development strategies.
